Cheap and Easy

I went to a local gift and thrift the other day and spotted these "beauties."  I was drawn to the shape of them, obviously not the painting.  I have been looking for a way to tie my new kitchen color with the great room and after staring at these babies for about 5 minutes, I thought I had the perfect, albeit simple idea. So I bought the pair for under $5!

When I got home, I headed straight out to the garage to locate the kitchen paint.  Then, I simply painted them the same color...two coats and they were complete.  As a finishing touch, I went out back and clipped some branches from our weeping pussy willow tree and voila!

I love the way they turned out and it really brings the colors together in my very open-concept home.

Love them!! That is not what I was picturing at all when you were describing them! Good eye, girlie!! You should definitely hook these up to some linky parties!

Oh, and if I were you, I would take the word verification off your comments section. A lot of people won't bother commenting if they have to go through that. (side note, is mine off on my blog??)
